As you may know, Kyoto was an old Japanese capital. There are lots of temples and shrines.

To see them clearly; or maybe some more reasons, there is an rule, which you can’t build things over 31 metres.

But there are few exceptions.
One of them is Kyoto tower.

You can see 360° clearly on top of the tower.

京都市では、建物の高さ制限があり、原則31メートルを超える建物を建ててはいけません。

そのため、市内で一番高い、京都タワーからは、市内を360°見渡すことができます。

古いお寺や神社は、低いですから、高いビルなどがない方が、よく見えますね。
